Planning of national long-distance EV charging network in Slovakia (Project EAST-E)Electric Mobility
For ZSE Slovakia, a member of the E.ON Group and charge point operator, the objective was to plan a continuous EV charging network and deploy fifteen DC fast chargers and five intermodal AC chargers. The sites covered the TEN-T network and established EV driving as a realistic option for consumers, with seamless mobility to neighbouring countries.

challenge
The Operator needed to define a planning approach, select the longlist of locations, design the network and optimise the prime locations for the pilot deployment. The selection and planning criteria shall also include the deployment of intermodal sites.
solution
Our work comprised the definition of planning methodology for site selection, developing a list of prime locations, and backup sites for later deployment. As a result, the gradually deployed EV charging network at urban and long-distance travelling sites is available on the map of ZSE Drive service.
